AMAZING and RARE ITEM
This Vintage Howdy Doody Ventriloquist Doll stands approximately 30” tall and has a cloth body, a hard plastic head, sleepy eyes, lifelike eyelashes and rubber hands.
Buffalo Bob Smith created Howdy Doody and the show was a pioneer in the early days of color TV.
His original clothing includes a blue & white checkered shirt, a red bandanna with Howdy Doody in yellow letters, a red plastic belt red pants. He has no shoes.
The doll has a string on the back that when pulled makes the mouth move although there is not a lot of jaw movement.
Overall the doll is in very good vintage condition but shows wear on the nose tip. Otherwise quite excellent condition.
